(Monday) BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
My very annoying alarm clock went off and with each BEEP! was getting louder and louder. I opened my eyes and quickly turned off the earsplitting alarm. It was just in time too because I could feel my head about to explode because of the loud noise in my room. I can't believe my brother Michael was sleeping through it even though his room was just on the other side of my left wall.
Though I felt like I hadn't slept a second, I got out of bed at 6:00am. I sleepily walked over to my closet with little shelves with my clothes organized on each separated part of the shelves and got out a clean outfit for the day. I got on my clothes, put one of my pairs of shoes on. One of the pairs were pretty new but the ones that I put on were from last year.
By 6:30, I was out in the kitchen and eating my usual breakfast of cheerios. Today, I had them in nice purple bowl. And by the way, did I mention that I'm a SUPER slow eater. I mean, I can be fast if I really wanted but I hate rushing so usually, I'm just my normal, slow self. At eating of course.
By now, it was almost 7:00 and I had to make sure my room was nice and neat with my bed made, pack my backpack and make a sandwich and put some snacks in my lunchbox. It was 7:25 when I was brushing my teeth and reminding Michael, my older brother who is thirteen and in Mrs. Giesler's academic lab class and homeroom, that we had to leave. I said "bye, Jenny!" to my aunt, "have a good day!" she replied with "what did you have for protein in your breakfast?" "I forgot" "do you want a piece of sausage?" "sure but I have to leave right now!" I got the piece of sausage from Jenny, shoved it in my mouth, and rushed outside, Michael at my heels.
We walked quickly to the bus stop at Greenfield Elementary and hopped on the bus, thankful for warmth. I took off my gloves and settled down for a short but loud ride to school with my friends.
(Tuesday) When I got to school, I quickly put my things in my locker but left my math stuff out. I waited for my friend Sophia at her locker and when she was done getting her math binder and her planner out, we walked down the hallway and set our things down outside of the lab. I said, "Come on. I don't want to be late." I was saying that because I didn't want to be late and I was going to get a bagel. We fast walked down the hallway to where there was a long line of kids waiting to buy a bagel. I got in the back of the line and waited my turn. The line actually moved a lot quicker than I thought it would. I was still digging the money out of my pocket when it was almost my turn so I let a couple people in front of me. Then, I was at the front of the line and the girl at the desk asked me, "Plain or salt?" "Plain please," I said. I put my money on the table. "Thanks," I said as I took my bagel. I started to walk away when I noticed the cream cheese. I grabbed some and headed to math class.
I walked into the classroom with Sophia just in time. I sat down at the end of the row of tables closest to the door. I noticed the new arrangement of tables in the room. I think that's the only time I saw them in a different place that I was used to the whole year. We wrote some things in our math journals and then worked some in the volume 1 book. Afterwards, we started 2.9 in the homework and remembering book.
(Wednesday)After math, I have gym. I walked to my locker, put my stuff from math away, and Sophia came over to my locker to wait for me. About three seconds later, we started to head to the gym. The hallway at the gym doors was very crowded with about 50 other students so far. Once mr Manchester came to the door and opened it for us, I walked in with Sophia and we talked for a bit until attendance started and we sat down in our floor spots. A bunch of people were talking but it wasn't too loud. Then Sophia and I jogged together for the five minute jog after we did some pushups. After the jog, Mr Manchesters class played a volleyball tournament and my team did pretty well: we tied two games 6-6 and lost one game 8-7.
(Thursday) I walked into eng. tech. thinking I was late but I was actually two minutes early . I sat down at my seat next to Ellie's chair which was empty. At about 10:22 Ellie walked in and we got the lego kit 20. We started building Green E and then started Blue 10 (we accidentally skipped Blue 8 and Green E and did Blue 9 so now we were on Blue 10. Since my friends and I brought our lunches to gym so we could go straight to eng. tech. and then strait to lunch, all we had to do was grab our lunch boxes as we went up the stairs and walked straight through the lunchroom doors.
