Thanksgiving Video

 

I wrote this poem because I think everyone has something to be thankful for though, they might not announce it out loud. I also know that not all poems have to rhyme but I wanted a little challenge :).

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Greetings for Japan (AHW)

"Kon'nichiwa." (KO-nee-chee-wa)(hello)."Watashinonamaeha" (wa-TAshi-nonah-MAY-ha)(my name is). "Gabe" He was doing his Japan greeting. I was using his iPad to videotape him. "My favorite subject is... I plan to protect the environment by... Arigatogosymas! (ARe-gahto-go-SY-maas)(bye). Believe me, it was not perfect the first time Gabe tried. Next up, me! Mine wasn't very good the first time either. Or the second time. Or the third. Or fourth. But the fifth was better. In Japaneese, I said hello, my name is Alex, My favorite subject is gym, my favorite sport is soccer, and, my favorite food is spaghetti. Then, Ellie went over to the wall and did her greeting. It took so many tries, I'm not even gonna try to count them right now. At the beginning of the videos, she kept crossing her eyes as she took a deep breath to speak and we all ruined the video by laughing. Almost every time. I nearly peed my pants. So when she got it right, she went through the same script as everyone else but changed it up when she got to her picture and her favorite things.

Lost Book (AHW)

I lost my battle book that I got from the book fair the other day. I was in Social Studies and I left to go get something from my locker. I left the book, Three Times Lucky, on my table. I walked back into the classroom- gone! poof! just like that. so if anyone sees a book exactly like in the screenshot(hardcover) with a blue, lined sticky-note (with writing on it) about halfway through in the book, can you please return it to me?
